Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Distribution Center to join our dynamic team. experience is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, experience in warehouse management systems, particularly NetSuite WMS, and the ability to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement within the DC.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the distribution center.
  • Conduct regular safety training and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Address any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

Warehouse Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the distribution center to ensure efficient and accurate order processing, receiving, storage, and shipping.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize warehouse operations.
  • Manage staffing levels, including hiring, training, and scheduling of warehouse staff.

Inventory Control:

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies.

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, such as order accuracy, shipping times, and inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on DC performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Utilize data from NetSuite WMS to drive decision-making and strategic planning.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects within the distribution center.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement among staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center management.
  • Proven experience leading in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems and warehouse management software (e.g., NetSuite, Pace Jet).
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean or Six Sigma certifications.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).

Physical Demands:

Medium Work involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force. frequently or 10 to 25 pounds of force Frequent walking, standing, and sitting. Frequent reaching and/or grasping using hands and/or arms. Frequent use of hands requiring dexterity in using the telephone, computer keyboard, or other objects. Visual ability including distance, peripheral and depth perception. Regularly required to talk and hear.
